<p>Offiziell bestätigt worden ist das Datum allerdings noch nicht, <strong>mehrere Berichte</strong> lassen aber auf die Echtheit schließen. Sollte die aktuellen Informationen zutreffend sein, würde AMD seine Serie AMD Radeon RX 500 ein Stück weit früher auf den Markt bringen als zuvor gedacht.</p>

<p>Die vorangegangene Generation der <strong>AMD Radeon RX 400</strong> ist im Juli 2016 auf den Markt gekommen, das neue Update wäre demnach nach nur neun Monaten erfolgt. Geplant sind dem Vernehmen nach vier Modelle: die Radeon RX 550, Radeon RX 560, Radeon RX 570 und <strong>Radeon RX 580</strong>.</p>
<h2>Konkurrenz zwischen Nvidia und AMD sehr interessant</h2>
<p>Die Preise sollen zwischen <strong>99 US-Dollar</strong> (für die RX 550 in der günstigsten Variante) bis zu <strong>279 US-Dollar</strong> (teuerste Variante der RX 580) liegen. Damit ist klar, dass AMD hier nicht etwa die <strong>Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti</strong> angreift, sondern sich eher an der (oberen) Mittelklasse orientiert.</p>
<p>Dies lässt sich auch daran erkennen, dass die neuen RX-500-Modelle allesamt auf den <strong>Polaris-Chip</strong> setzen. Die leistungsstärkeren Vega-Modelle sollen im Laufe des Jahres auf den Markt kommen. Mit <strong>AMD Vega</strong> soll das US-Unternehmen dann einen Angriff auf die Nvidia-Flaggschiffe planen.</p>

<h2>Nintendo Switch: PlayStation 4 soll mehr Leistung haben</h2>
<p>So hat <em>VentureBeat</em> von zwei unterschiedlichen Quellen mitgeteilt bekommen, dass die Leistung der Switch eher verhalten ausfallen wird. Denn für die Grafikeinheit soll eine GPU auf <strong>Maxwell-Basis</strong> verwendet werden, was nicht die neueste Generation der Nvidia-Chips bedeuten würde.</p>

<p>Die aktuelle Generation stellen die <strong>Pascal-Chips</strong> dar, die in puncto Leistung und Effizienz deutliche Vorteile gegenüber den Maxwell-GPUs aufweisen. Laut <em>VentureBeat</em>-Informationen wird die Switch auf eine Leistung von etwas mehr als <strong>ein Teraflop</strong> kommen.</p>
<h2>Gaming-Segment entwickelt sich in Richtung 4K</h2>
<p>Zum Vergleich: das wäre in etwa auf dem Niveau der <strong>Xbox One</strong>, die es auf 1,3 Teraflops bringt. Die <strong>PlayStation 4</strong> mit 1,8 Teraflops wäre schon ein gutes Stück entfernt, die PlayStation 4 Pro mit 4,2 Teraflops ist schon komplett außer Reichweite und die <strong>Project Scorpio Xbox</strong> mit 6 Teraflops liegt dann schon um Welten entfernt vorne.</p>
<p>Da sich das Gaming-Segment immer mehr in Richtung <strong>4K-Auflösung</strong> entwickelt, könnte Nintendo mit seiner Switch also ins Hintertreffen geraten. Zwar hat Nintendo noch nie besonders viel Wert auf Leistung gelegt und war dennoch teils sehr erfolgreich, in Stein gemeißelt ist dies aber natürlich nicht.</p>

<p>Während sich Spieler vielerorts ständig über dieses Thema in die Haare bekommen, hat <strong>Alienware-Mitgründer</strong> und Vizepräsident Frank Azor im Zuge der PAX Australia 2016 nun das vermeintliche Ende der Diskussion präsentiert: seiner Meinung nach habe der PC gewonnen.</p>

<p>Die Erklärung dafür ist so sinnvoll wie logisch: die <strong>Konsolenhersteller</strong> konnten nicht mehr auf sieben Jahre lange Zyklen für Updates setzen und haben ihre Basis deutlich mehr an den PC angeglichen. Konsolen seien immer mehr wie PCs geworden, sodass der Gewinner auf der Hand liegt.</p>
<h2>Hardware-Fortschritte müssen deutlich schneller erfolgen</h2>
<p>Dazu passt auch, dass Konsolen in der heutigen Zeit wohl maximal noch drei Jahre aktuell sein werden, bevor neue Modelle auf den Markt kommen. Würde das nicht der Fall sein, würden Konsolenhersteller wie Sony oder Microsoft auf Trends wie <strong>Virtual Reality</strong>, 4K, HDR, 8K oder <strong>Augmented Reality</strong> verzichten müssen bzw. diese verpassen.</p>
<p>Dementsprechend sind die Argumente von Azor definitiv nachvollziehbar und diese dürften auch bei den Konsolenherstellern gefruchtet haben, was das Umdenken zuletzt erklären würde. Letzten Endes ist es aber eine <strong>Geschmacksfrage</strong>, auf welche Plattform man setzen möchte &#8211; zur Not kann man auch Konsole und PC parallel betreiben.</p>

<h2>Dishonored 2: PC-Version mit Performance-Problemen</h2>
<p>Nun gibt es bei <strong>Steam</strong> und Twitter einen Sturmlauf gegen ebenjenes Dishonored 2, genauer gesagt gegen die <strong>PC-Version</strong>. Offiziell wird das neue Dishonored erst ab heute verkauft, PC-Spieler konnten aber bereits heute Nacht loslegen, wenn ein Preload verfügbar gewesen ist.</p>

<p>Und siehe da: das Spiel soll unter sehr großen Performance-Problemen leiden, insbesondere die <strong>Framerate</strong> sei kaum stabil zu bekommen. Wer auf 1440p-Niveau spielen möchte, der soll laut Angaben der Spieler eine sehr gute Grafikkarte benötigen, unter einer <strong>Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070</strong> sei wenig möglich, empfohlen wird hier und da sogar die GTX 1080.</p>
<h2>Nicht das erste PC-Spiel mit Problemen beim Launch</h2>
<p>Weitere Tipps wie das Aktivieren von <strong>V-Sync</strong> sowie einzelne Anpassungen der Einstellungen wurden ebenfalls genannt, um die Framerate über <strong>30 fps</strong> zu bekommen. Bei Bethesda ist man sich der Probleme bewusst, wie über Twitter mitgeteilt wurde:</p>

<p>Offen bleibt, ob Entwickler Arkane und Publisher Bethesda in Kürze ein <strong>Update</strong> mit Performance-Verbesserungen veröffentlichen werden. Dishonored 2 ist bei einer schwächelnden PC-Version ganz und gar nicht alleine, zuletzt gab es bei <strong>Mafia 3</strong> einen Aufschrei, da bei diesem Spiel die PC-Framerate standardmäßig auf 30 fps begrenzt wurde &#8211; erst ein Update konnte Abhilfe schaffen.</p>
